Acceptance of terms

By using FinLit Quest ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

What FinLit Quest is

FinLit Quest is an educational word-puzzle game that teaches financial-literacy concepts — currently Crypto and Credit topics — through word-wheel puzzles, flashcards, matching exercises, and quizzes. There is no account system; the app works immediately, with your progress saved locally on your device.

Educational content, not financial advice

FinLit Quest's content is provided for general educational purposes only. Nothing in the app is financial, investment, legal, tax, or other professional advice, and it should not be relied on as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. Definitions and examples are simplified for learning purposes and may not reflect every real-world nuance of a topic.

Virtual currency (coins and XP)

The app includes an in-game virtual currency (coins) and experience points (XP) used to track progress and unlock in-puzzle assistance like hints. These are purely virtual, have no cash or real-world value, can only be earned by playing — never purchased — and cannot be exchanged, redeemed, transferred, or cashed out for real money or anything outside the app. As of this version, FinLit Quest offers no in-app purchases of any kind.

Your use of the app

You're granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use FinLit Quest for your own personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to reverse-engineer, redistribute, or attempt to circumvent any part of the app beyond what's provided for normal use.

Intellectual property

The FinLit Quest name, logo, and all app content, design, and branding are the property of the app's developer. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of that ownership to you.

No warranty

FinLit Quest is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. Educational content is reviewed for accuracy but is provided without guarantee.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer of FinLit Quest is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of locally-stored progress data (see the Privacy Policy for how that data is stored).

Changes to the app or these terms

The app and these Terms may be updated over time. If these Terms change in a material way, this page will be updated with a new effective date.
